Great food & service! Spinach-quinoa hashbrowns!!!

Let's see, it isn't chili's, fridays,Applebees etc. Nice, local, unique. Community involved with events at Triassic. Reasonable prices I think darn near a 90 percent scratch kitchen. Here you see the rebenski and the patty melt with fried pickles for appetizer.Good tasty food.Come check em out.

We have now had breakfast and dinner here and the food and service were excellent.

Rating them 5 stars as Best burger place I've been to and for the truly terrific service. Our server Faith was personable, fun, and she amazed me with her ability to take care of so many hungry folks, keep us all happy, including a large party, and smile warmly the entire time. She deserves a raise in pay!! Plus, both if our burgers were delish! We will definitely be back to enjoy the casual atmosphere, try their other taste treats, and hopefully see Faith again!

While traveling I always look for favorite local restaurants... this popped up.. quirky and delightfully delicious. Big portions of good food... the locals were right!

In food coma. 10/10 would buy the cheesecake again. But really, the food was amazing. Burger was very juicy and delicious and the cheesecake was extremely good. Very satisfying meal.

I was looking for a place with WiFi and decided to take a drive and found this spot. The service was friendly and the food was good and priced fairly. I would definitely come back and visit if I’m ever in town. I highly recommend this spot to anyone in the neighborhood.

...Easily the best onion rings I've ever had... melted in my mouth. The Ultimate Grilled Cheese sandwich was outstanding, as well...aged white cheddar, ...with ortega chile, and served on perfectly crusted texas toast styled sourdough bread, which broke through into a warm fluffy dream cloud. Stay away from the Brownie Cheesecake... it's dangerous, in a good way. You've been warned. Quaint little desert oasis with a unique theme presented within an atmosphere of simplicity. The courteous, friendly service matched the old fashioned diner-style setting... which also features a bakery with pies, brownies, cheesecakes, etc. Coffee and espresso. Kyleigh acted very professionally and left no detail unattended. Next time I find myself detoured in this direction, it'll be fixed onto my list. Don't let a tumbleweed slap your bisquit-eater trying to find the place... believe me, they're everywhere around these parts.

Great food and employees. Guinness onion rings are awesome, as was the Reuben sandwich.

Excellent food great service reasonably priced

The prices might seem high until you get your food and see the portion sizes and take a bite and taste the quality and care in preparation. Had the Philafornia Burger, fish and chips and kids bow tie with Alfredo and it was all great. Then we had a slice of the chocolate ganache cake to go with our coffee and we loved it. Oh and the coffee is the best I've had at a restaurant in years, I had four cups. The theme and decorations are great and the service matched!

Steampunk is not bad at all. I gave it 3 stars because it was what I would call average. They have comfort food, some vegetarian options, a few twists on old favorites. There were 6 of us so we had a combination of breakfast and lunch orders. Tehachapi does not have many decent places to eat. I would definitely go there again and try out different meal options.

Unique, Cool Small Town Cafe - The breakfasts are great with a great selection and the lunch/dinner menu is pretty vast for such a small place. I highly recommend the "Beefster" burger: Corned Beef on an already delicious burger can only make it better and it does. The thing that really makes this cafe shine are its desserts! The Chocolate Ganache cake is the best I've had... Ever!

Great place! We stopped there for lunch on the way from Death valley to Sequoya. A bit difficult to find but so well worth it. Added most of the menu (Feb 2020). Kaitlyn that served us was also 👌

Good food and the service was excellent. As they have their own in-house bakery all the pastries even the brioche buns are fresh. Abe Lincoln with a robot arm didn’t hurt either. Cool theme.

One of the best places I’ve ever had breakfast! It’s very rare to get delicious food, reasonable prices, generous portions, a great atmosphere, and friendly staff all at the same place, but this place had it all. I ordered my eggs a specific way, and they got them absolutely spot on. The ingredients were fresh, and the chef was a master. The biscuits and gravy were delicious, the chicken fried steak was one of the best I’ve ever had, and though I initially had reservations about “spinach quinoa” hashbrowns, you never would be able to tell that there was spinach or quinoa there. They were normal and delicious. The toast was fresh, The coffee was good, the waitress was attentive and never failed to give us a refill, and they had flavored creamers, which is always a little special treat for me. I wish I lived in Tehachapi, so I could go here on a weekly basis.

I'm dining alone which is usually awkward because the wait staff either forget you or purposefully put your order in last...definitely wasnt the case here! Each staff member was awesome & went above & beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Drink suggestion was perfect & the burger was so tasty!!! Its funny, at one point after ordering my food I was wishing I could bottle the mouthwatering smell coming from the kitchen. I wanted to ask what the dish was (for future ordering purposes lol) but I got sidetracked by the decor...love it! My drink comes out within minutes, followed shortly by my meal which I discovered was that AMAZING smell! Haha. Such a great atmosphere & the wait staff was super personable & seem happy to work here. If I could give them 10 stars I would! This place deserves more traffic #JackBlack #JasonMomoa your new diner, it doesn't disappoint!

Delicious food. This beats out Henry's Cafe as the best breakfast place in town (that's saying a lot bc Henry's is also delicious). Try the vegetarian omelet called "In the Weeds" - it is incredible! And it comes with hashbrowns that are mixed with quinoa - yum! Be prepared to leave smelling like a greasy kitchen though. I always have to shower afterwards bc I can't stand the smell.One more thing... Breakfast usually is served until 11. I went there after 11 one day and ordered from the lunch/dinner menu. The vegetarian burger was AMAZING. I usually smother everything in ketchup, but this burger was so good that I didn't add any extra ketchup to it.

Pricy, but the deserts and food are just so good. It's absolutely perfect if you're passing through on an adventure, but I couldn't see myself going here every day.The atmosphere is spot on for steampunk. "Oh this looks neat and has gears!" Which as a fan of the genre, I'm so into!The staff are so great, they're fun and not at all afraid to be themselves. Clearly the right kind of geeky enough to belong in a place called Steampunk Café & Grill.The whole experience was enjoyable, and if I ever happen to be in the area, I'm going again!

Great food and atmosphere. We had the Phillafornia , it was amazing! The wait was a little long but it's better than fast bad food!

Great food. Specially the hash browns. But I wish they would get a second waitress. They usually only have one on duty and she works her butt off but service still ends up being slow. Honestly great food though.

Great Atmosphere still.. each visit is better and better. I recommend trying different dishes each visit. Its been a pleasure to experience the array of different flavors each dish provides.

You would never know Steampunk was there unless someone told you or you accidentally found it. My parents just moved here and are making an effort to try all of the family owned restaurants in the area. This at the moment is their favorite (which changes from week to week) but they took me and I won't agree to make it my favorite, I can't say I had any complaints. The food was good, the decor is different (in a good way), and our waitress was friendly. They could work on curb appeal, though, I assume the building is leased so that isn't a complaint. Great garlic bread, some of the other baked goods looked really good didn't try any though, I'll be sure to update when I do.

I had the chili cheese omelette with hash browns and biscuits and gravy. Everything was prepared to perfection and tasted deliscious. My lovely wife had the Denver omelette with sliced tomatoes and biscuits and gravy. She said it was one of the best breakfasts she's ever had. The coffee was fresh and tastes excellent. Our server was nice and down to earth. She took the time to chat with us and projects a lot of pride in her work and this establishment. We can't wait to come back and try their lunch and dinner menus.The bathrooms are clean and neat. The steampunk decor had me geeking out.

Great Buffet. Went there for the Sunday brunch and it had lots of great options with unlimited drinks. The service was great and helpful the whole time.

Insanely good. Came out for Lancaster to see the snow today and stopped here on a whim. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Thanks so much guys!

This place is wonderful! I was taken for dinner and ordered their sirloin steak medium rare. The meal arrived and the steak was cooked to perfection, the most beautiful outside sear and prettiest pink center ever. The Steampunk Cafe has deserts you can drool over. I was too stuffed to eat desert, but couldn't resist to order desert to go (what a good choice) I ordered the most amazing cheesecake that you can only find here at Steampunk it was a creation they called animal cookie cheesecake! Oh my God this was the most incredible thing I have tasted. The cheesecake was a beautiful pink and white swirl with a pink animal cookie on top. The crust tasted like crushed up animal crackers. This was one of the best deserts I have ever tasted in my entire life! Looking forward to trying their Strawberry Cloud Cake I hear it's to die for. This place is a nice stop for gourmet deserts.

Visited today for a late lunch with my family. The food was so delicious! We all can’t stop talking about it. The service was just as good! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back next time we are in town!

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. I ordered a baked potatoe and fresh steamed vegetables. The potato was not mushy served with cheese, bacon,moons and butter. They forgot the onions. I’m sure they would have brought them if i had asked. The veggies were adente so basically everything was perfect!
